An extremely versatile and unique original music artist with a very refined sound that has just the right touch of classic retro appeal.   Ron's music boasts a lyrical flair of mystery and a very raw, down to earth, spiritualy aware quality that really keeps audiences intrigued.  Born in 1968 into very humble working class conditions,  it was very unlikely that his musical potential would ever be realized much less developed.  As a teenager Ron began to realize that the overwhelming pull he felt deep inside himself to creatively write and express feelings through music, was never going to go away and had to be released.  Over the years his music began to teach him much more than just music.  It began to be a sort of saving grace, or open window to heaven on earth.  "I think that quite possibly, music was the only way that God could get me to really listen and learn about what's real in life, and what really matters in the end.  It's really given me great self-realization about myself and the world around me, because when you truly write from the heart, you must face your own demons and inadequacies, and put yourself outhere naked for everyone to see!"  Pretty soon as a young man in his early twenties, Ron found that the status quo of reality in the real world, especially for a struggling artist/musician/songwriter that still had to work for a living, could be a really forbidding place!   However, amidst all of this turmoil, and endless hardwork, Ron's music prevailed, continuing as a secret sanctury, sheltered and at peace.   There were great years for his live music show and also the hardest times, when it seemed that no one at all was interested in listening.  Thankfully, the music still prevailed and has blossomed into the rich musical history that Ron claims today!  More recently,  as the founder of a "New Concept" Independent Music Record Label so fittingly referred to as Go Figure Records, Ron is continuously working towards helping other local, affiliated/associated artists, gain exposure for their works.   Ron also teaches privately and helps other artists to perfect and develop their skills!  With ten albums and counting, several singles, and many other unreleased tunes from the early years to his credit, it would seem that Ron's musical ambition is solely to touch the sky in his own heart and life!

   Motion2Emotion, formerly known as Go Figure, is "the local duet that plays like a band!"  The act came about due to necessity rather than some sort of brain child.  Although never closing the door to a three piece or whatever works in the future, Ron and Fernando have finally decided to no longer try to fit thereselves into the guilded mold that bands and musicians continually pursue.  Though not yet released, their latest works have really benefited from this decision.  Also, the new live show energy is more in tune than ever.  "If something works, then it doesn't need fixing!  Words to live by,"  say Perez and Hobson. 

   After ten long years, three albums, and lots of material that never made it to the studio, Ron and Ferdie needed to regroup and start over with a new name and a new energy.  Though the goal is the same, to explore this musical journey to the fullest, the atmosphere around the two musical explorers has changed!  This will surely be evident in the upcoming local tour!

   Ron & Fernando play all of the background instruments that you here at their live show, often taken from the actual studio tracks that were used in creating the albums.  Everything else, they actually do live, controling preprogrammed drums/percussion from keyboards while playing various string instruments and singing.  If you're thinking that this is just another sequenced/midi act or pop American Idol type gig, you couldn't be more wrong!  These guys are modest and for real, and once you've seen'em live, you will know this to be true!
